XII annual conference of Global Missing Children’s Network

The twelfth annual conference of the Global Missing Children’s Network, an international network that brings together organizations and institutions from 30 states and 4 continents, will be held on 20 and 21 January.

Telefono Azzurro, together with the Polizia Italiana, the International Center for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC)and the US Central Authority, will take part in this important international event; he will thus become the spokesperson for all those missing children and adolescents and victims of trafficking or exploitation.

The conference represents an important meeting point between the law enforcement agencies around the world and the largest national and international organizations.

Together they will try to find the most innovative answers to the new challenges and problems related to missing children and adolescents, victims of trafficking or exploitation.

The topics addressed during the conference will be varied and will include: the activities of the Italian Police and of Telefono Azzurro in favor of missing minors, the impact of COVID-19 on the phenomenon, new technologies capable of helping unaccompanied foreign minors, international definition of ‘missing children’, good practices for preventing and responding to cases of international abduction of children and adolescents.
